2011 June Grant Gentile Dr. John R. Gentile (Professor, Integrated Science and Technology) received $11,816 from the city of Harrisonburg for "Proposal to Implement the Dry River Recreation Plan" to remove and rehabilitate the 27 campsites within the Dry River Water Supply Area. 06
2011 June Grant Hartzler-Weakley Kimberlee Hartzler-Weakley (Administrator, Institute for Innovation in Health and Human Services) received $12,000 from the Office on Children and Youth to aid in preventing teen pregnancy. 06
2011 June Grant Hubbell Jane Hubbell (Associate Director, Institute for Innovation in Health and Human Services) received $50,000 from the Merck Foundation and $26,899 from various agencies to provide onsite care services, chronic illness management and preventative care to homeless clients enrolled in local shelters while simultaneously providing onsite care management services when more comprehensive services are needed. 06

2011 June Grant Race Gary S. Race (Fiscal Technician, Institute for Innovation in Health and Human Services) received $24,000 from the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Community Services Board to provide interpretation services to non-English-speaking clients in fiscal year 2012. Race received $5,752 from the Valley AIDS Network to provide educational and health administrative services. 06

2011 June Grant Stover Lynne F. Stover (Teacher Consultant, Center for Economic Education) received $6,050 from the Council for Economic Education to provide training and workshops to area classroom teachers in implementing a Mini-Economy Program that will provide instruction in entrepreneurship and economic education for their students. 06
2011 June Grant Zingraff Hubbell Dr. Rhonda M. University wrote an article, "Improving the adhesion of Au thin films onto poly(methyl methacrylate) substrates using spun-cast organic solvents," which was published in the Journal of Vacuum Science and Technology A: Vacuums, Surfaces and Films in March, vol. 29, issue 3. The article was selected by the journal's editors as one of three featured publications for the June 2011 quarterly newsletter that is distributed to over 5,000 American Vacuum Society members across industry, academia and government laboratories. 06
