James Madison University’s Institute for Infrastructure and Information Assurance (IIIA) is hosting its annual research symposium in Washington, DC on Thursday, May 22 from 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. in conjunction with the Federal Facilities Council of the National Academies and held at the National Academies.

The symposium entitled, “Fostering Public-Private Partnerships”, highlights research conducted at JMU through IIIA and will feature government, industry, and academic leaders in the areas of homeland security and national defense. The symposium illuminates successful public-private homeland security partnership models at the local, regional, and national levels and considers steps to develop and improve future public-private partnerships.

Keynote speeches will be provided by Congressman C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger (MD-2) and Alfonso “Al” Martinez-Fonts, Jr., Assistant Secretary for the Private Sector Office at the Department of Homeland Security.
