Join us for the final CIT Fireside Chat of this academic year.
It is scheduled for Tuesday, April 15, 9-11 a.m. in the
CIT Walk-In (Carrier Library, Room 22). Pastries,
coffee and tea will be served. No registration required.
Cozy, comfortable atmosphere guaranteed.
Learning Resource Center faculty Kristen Shrewsbury
and Laura Schubert will lead a discussion on the topic,
The 21st Century Reader: Too much information?
Are our students changing the way they read? ARE they
reading? What are they reading? Is this affecting the way
they think and solve problems? What impact does the
internet search process have on their reading and thinking?
Hear and engage in a conversation with people who think
about these things and can speak to their experience with
JMU students' reading habits and abilities.
