Description: This intensive two and one-half day grant proposal workshop is geared for: 1) those who wish to strengthen their grant writing skills and 2) beginners who wish to acquire and master the techniques of preparing, writing and winning proposals from various funding agencies. The focus will be on how to effectively tell the story that leads to funding, be it for the researcher in the sciences and social sciences, educator, or non-profit professional. Participants will learn how to:

· Research and identify potential funding sources
· Create the right fit with the funding agency
· Address the guidelines of proposals
· Identify and effectively write the key elements of a proposal
· Integrate each component of the grant into the final product
· Develop focused and realistic budgets
· Package professional grants submissions

Application & Cost: Participation is limited to 40 participants.

20 funded slots 20 funded slots are for faculty and others in Academic Affairs. Based on sponsors’ requirements, 10 sponsored slots will be reserved for graduate faculty and a minimum of two slots will be dedicated for faculty with two years or less experience in higher education.

20 open slots at $475.00 (includes tuition, materials, certificate of completion, and breakfast/lunch)

The Grant Writing Institute Selection Committee will select participants to represent a wide range of experience, expertise, and disciplines. Applicants with specific plans for proposals may be favored.
