Holocaust Remembrance Week; Genocide Survival & Psychology

Starting March 24th, JMU Hillel along with the Center for Multicultural Student Services will be presenting Holocaust Remembrance Week, a week devoted to creating awareness of past and present genocides worldwide.

"Surviving the Holocaust"
Monday, March 24, at 5pm in HHS 1301
Mark Strauss will speak about his teenage experiences during the Holocaust and on his personal story of escaping the Jewish Ghettos to live with Christian friends and family while still fearing for his life.

"How Genocide Happens"
Wednesday, March 26, at 6:30 pm in Taylor 405 Dr. Kevin Apple, a JMU Psychology Department head who teaches a course on the Holocaust, will lead a lecture/discussion on the social psychology on genocide and the Holocaust.
