JMU ALUMNA WINS 1ST LEG OF CBS'S AMAZING RACE!! | |

From: Alumni Relations Last night the seventh edition of CBS's hit show "THE AMAZING RACE" began as eleven teams flew to Lima, Peru. In this show contestants travel the world by fulfilling various mission goals. The goals require them to solve clues and race to a variety of destination points. Then they need to follow specific instructions, which include performing complicated tasks, before they can get the next clue to move on. The objective is to stay ahead of the other teams in the race in order to not be eliminated by being the last to complete that leg of the competition.JMU is proud to have an alumna, Bianca Smith ('01) as one of the race contestants on this reality TV show. She even lists JMU in her bio on CBS's website at http://www.cbs.com/primetime/amazing_race7/teams/debbie/ In last night's episode, Bianca and her teammate Debbie (a College of William & Mary alumna) won that particular leg of the race and each claimed a $10,000 prize for their efforts.
