A meet-the-teams "Hoops Fest" will be part of basketball activities scheduled during JMU's upcoming Homecoming Weekend.
The Hoops Fest will take place at 7 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 17) in the Godwin Hall gymnasium following the 3:30 p.m. JMU-Villanova football game and will include both JMU's women's and men's basketball teams.
The basketball-related events are open to the public with no admission charge.
The Hoops Fest will include a skills competition by players from both teams and an autograph session. Fans will have the opportunity to win raffle prizes; light refreshments will be available; and the activities will have radio station Q101 personalities Ryan O'Bryan and Lindsay as masters of ceremonies.
The skills competition will include a three-point shooting contest by members of both teams and a dunk contest by members of the men's team.
