Solving the Great Workplace Mystery, Course #HR1008
People who are most successful at work aren't the most 'talented', they're the ones who understand what business they're in and who all those people are that we call 'bosses', 'co-workers', 'students' and the rest. In this fast-paced session, you'll learn a new perspective on customer service and how it can energize the way you feel about work. Presented by Judy Rannow on Wednesday, July 10, 2008, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM in USB 102

Difficult Conversations, Part I, Course #HR1185

You will learn to have the right perspective on conflict, ask the right questions and use the right words so that conflict becomes a productive part of building relationships, rather than something to be avoided. Difficult Conversations, Part II, Course #HR1120
In Part I, we focused on the 'nuts and bolts' of handling conflict effectively. However, talking about it in a training session is a lot different than using the tools in an actual conversation. In this session, we will review the tips shared in Part I and then practice applying them in real-life discussions. You must complete Difficult Conversations Part I in order to take this class. Presented by Judy Rannow on Monday, July 14, 2008, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM in USB 102.

Join us to learn a three-step technique to help you assert your own interests while respecting the other side's and develop healthier relationships while you stand up for yourself without stepping on the other person's toes.
