November 13: Gilliam Center host Cynthia Cooper:
Cynthia Cooper headed Internal Audit at WorldCom and courageously led a
small team that covertly investigated and then exposed the multi-billion dollar
fraud that occurred, ultimately resulting in the largest fraud and bankruptcy in
U.S. history at that point. An accountant, Cynthia was named (along with two
other whistleblower's) a Time Magazine Person of the Year in 2002.
She later wrote the book, Extraordinary Circumstances, documenting her

primary areas of responsibility include daily interaction with Wall Street analysts and
institutional investors in communicating the strategic direction and corporate
performance of Lockheed Martin; participation in the preparation and execution
of an Investor Relations communication program for Executive Management
use at external investor conferences and meetings; and for providing
on-going analysis and support of quarterly earnings releases, annual
shareholders meeting, and board of directors meetings.
Greg has a B.B.A. in Accounting from James Madison University, and an
M.B.A. in Finance from Penn State University.
