K-5 Core 

The 2012 K-5 Core Academy focused on the content areas of Math and Science.  In addition to improving content knowledge in these specific areas, the goal of the elementary academy was to offer participants novel, constructivist approaches to learning and teaching that will help teachers meet and extend the VA Standards of Learning through meaningful and engaging learning opportunities for all children.  The sessions incorporated differentiated strategies for teachers to take directly back to their classrooms for use next fall!
