2007 VOTA Scholarship

November 5, 2007
By: Amanda Rivera

Congratulations to Jennifer Nash for receiving the Virginia Occupational Therapy Association (VOTA) Graduate Scholarship!!  About being awarded, the Occupational Therapy graduate student says, “It was really a privilege to be chosen for the scholarship.  To be picked out of students from all of the Occupational Therapy programs in Virginia was quite an honor.”  This award also marks the VOTA’s second year in a row for recognizing graduate Occupational Therapy students at JMU.  As a member of the Student Occupational Therapy Association, Jennifer is active in community efforts to promote occupational therapy.  After graduation, she plans to take the national board exam and obtain her license.  “I really enjoy working with adults who are recovering from stroke, so I could see this as a potential population I would like to work with after I graduate and get my first job,” Jennifer says.
