Entrepreneur and founder of Iraqinews.com

Photo: Jonathan Koves

American Mensa member Jonathan Koves exhibits a talent for revolutionary thinking. As a freshman at JMU working out of his dorm room, Jonathan started his own Web site development firm. Appreciative patrons such as General Electric Co. and Marriott International Inc. have made his business one of the top Web design companies in the world, lauding its emphasis on customer service and innovative design techniques. Jonathan also applied his vision to another project -- he created Iraqinews.com, a Web site that provides streaming news about major developments in the Middle East region. Determined "to look at this situation through Iraqi eyes," Jonathan continues to operate the site independently without other financing. Whether working with Fortune 500 clients or helping build an "intellectually diverse" Web site about a developing nation, this world changer remains committed to using his mind to aid others.

"Freedom of inquiry and expression is among the clearest advantages, and most urgent requirements, of modern democratic society. In establishing Iraqi News, Koves Technologies created an instrument of free inquiry and expression to unveil media perspectives through Iraqi eyes."
