Workshops

Note: This workshop is capped at 12 participants

Total Workshop Time: 2 Hours

Location: Wine-Price Building

Pre-requisites: Employees must be a supervisor to attend the training.

Description: This training is a “must have” if you are a leader of others at JMU. This two-hour refresher is designed to bring you up-to-date on issues that can be a legal landmine for a supervisor. You will get do’s and don’ts of payroll issues, disciplinary steps, leave and accommodation requests, and how to avoid a retaliation claim. There will also be a “Vegas” style open panel discussion where you can ask our expert panel any questions you have about issues related to being a supervisor.

Facilitated by: Jim Dirks, HR Consultant, and Morgan Greene, HR Consultant
