Elizabeth Liles (’87)

Elizabeth Liles is a 1987 graduate of James Madison University. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications with a concentration in Journalism and Public Relations. Her career span includes working as Membership Services Coordinator at AIMR (now CFA-Institute); Executive Assistant at UVA Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation; Development & Communications at Fork Union Military Academy; and currently Records Specialist/Administrative Assistant at the University of Virginia Investment Management Company.

She and her husband, Mark (Class of 1987), have two daughters, Rachel (Class of 2015/2016), and a junior, Emily, majoring in Dietetics at JMU. Elizabeth’s passion is her family, and most evidently, James Madison University. In 2011, she and Mark became members of the Parents’ Council and they still serve as members. Elizabeth assists with the local JMU Charlottesville Chapter and served for two years as Co-President. Most recently she was nominated to become a member of the Women for Madison Executive Advisory Council. She is a member of the Duke Club and President’s Council and annually supports her alma mater.

Other interests include hiking, biking, travel, writing poetry, gardening and spending time with other JMU alumni and friends. As a football season ticket holder, Elizabeth and her family frequent all home games on campus and travel to many of the away games to support their team. She and her husband reside in Charlottesville.
