Debbi grew up in the Harrisonburg area, and graduated from James Madison University with a BS in Education in 2004. She has had the pleasure to work at JMU for twelve years.  Prior to employment at JMU, Debbi worked in banking and Rockingham County Public Schools.

Debbi considers the time she worked in the JMU Centennial Office as the assistant director to be the most rewarding time of her career. She learned a lot about the university's history and made connections with many individuals serving on committees and projects from the planning stages in 2004 to the week-long celebration in March 2008.

Following the Centennial Celebration, Debbi worked for the Senior Vice President for Advancement, where she learned a lot about philanthropy and donor relations. She served on the JMU Employee Advisory Committee 2008-12, two years as co-chair. In July 2012, Debbi moved to the Office of Development where she currently works serving in many capacities. Debbi considers working with Women for Madison an honor and believes it ranks right up there with the Centennial Celebration!

Debbi is the proud mother of a daughter, Kelly '11M and a son, Ryan.
