Description:

You’re working hard to create a successful life. But are you feeling too busy, over connected, overwhelmed and out of sorts? Surviving but not thriving? In her book, THRIVE, Arianna Huffington, cofounder and editor of the Huffington Post Media Group, says that there is far more to living a truly successful life than just earning a bigger salary and capturing a corner office. She says that we need a new way forward because “our relentless pursuit of the two traditional metrics of success – money and power – has led to an epidemic of burnout and stress-related illnesses. In being connected to the world 24/7, we’re losing our connection to what truly matters.” She suggests that we need a third metric for defining success. That third metric includes our well-being, our ability to draw on our intuition, our sense of wonder, and our capacity for compassion and giving. This workshop, drawing on information from the book THRIVE, will present tips for enhancing well-being, tapping into your inner wisdom, re-connecting to the wonder in life and re-discovering the joy of giving.

Participants will:
• Be able to identify the four pillars of the third metric for defining success, as presented in the book, THRIVE
• Learn ways to enhance well-being, tap into inner wisdom, re-connect to wonder and re-discover the joy of giving
• Practice basic mindfulness techniques
