This 90-minute workshop provides current information on the management and preservation of HR-related documents and how this might affect you and your department. Topics covered will include:

  • Retention Schedules and Destruction
  • How to calculate retention and interpret schedules
  • The Library of Virginia
  • Highly Confidential Data
  • Virginia Code and the legal component of retaining documents
  • The difference between a record copy and an administrative copy

In this workshop, participants will:

  • Learn the importance of human resources related document retention
  • Understand how to access the associated rules, regulations, and retention schedules
