Description:

Relationships can be complicated, including those involving food. Eat, Drink and Be Mindful is a series designed to help participants approach food and consumption in a healthy, balanced and judgment-free manner. Based on the Mindfulness Based Eating Awareness Training (MB-EAT) program created by Dr. Jean Kristeller, this modified version will introduce participants to mindful eating via meditation, body awareness and practice. Come with an open mind, and leave your self-judgment behind. No experience with meditation is needed.

In this series participants will:

  • Learn the definition of mindfulness
  • Experience body awareness via gentle chair yoga
  • Experience mindfulness meditation
  • Learn the definition of Inner and Outer Wisdom
  • Experience mindful eating via various food related meditations: taste, fullness and satiety
