Total Workshop Time: 2 Hours

Pre-requisites: None.

Description:

Ice breakers can be an effective way of starting a training session or team-building event. But have you ever been to an event when the ice breaker went poorly? Just as a great session can smooth the way for a great event, a well executed ice breaker can launch an event towards a great start. As a facilitator, the secret of a successful icebreaking is to keep it simple. In this workshop we will engage in icebreakers, warm-ups, and energizers that you can use in workshops, presentations and staff meetings. Participants will leave confident in what components make an icebreaker successful and will understand how to make icebreakers both fun and relevant.

In this workshop, participants will:

  • Define why icebreakers are important
  • Discuss the elements to consider when planning icebreakers
  • Explore and experience different types of ice breakers
