Description:

All employees of JMU, as a part of their new employee orientation and as a condition of employment, are required to complete the 30 minute, online Workplace Dispute Resolution orientation course and quiz created by JMU’s Office of Human Resources and the Department of Human Resource Management.

JMU has a responsibility to inform employees about the services offered through the Office of Employment Dispute Resolution (EDR), an office within the Virginia Department of Human Resource Management (DHRM).

During this course, you will learn about these services provided by EDR:

•  AdviceLine – Available to all employees
• Conflict Resolution Training – Available to all employees
• Mediation – Available to all employees and facilitated by JMU’s Employee Mediation Services Coordinator
• Grievance Procedure – Available to non-probationary, classified employees only
