Description

Duties:

Part-time companion(s) needed during summer session. Our friendly, well humored mother has mild dementia and uses a walker for balance. Responsibility is mainly to ensure safety through supervision at all times. Light meal preparation, maintain a tidy kitchen, and an ability to know when to chat and when to just watch tv together. Hands on transferring, help with dressing or other assistance may be needed. Perfect for Nursing student or healthcare major. Shifts vary but usually two to four hours in the late afternoon to early evening. Saturdays and Sundays may need help too. Located near the hospital in a warm, comfortable home (with our yellow lab, Charlotte).

Requirments:

Position could involve driving. Safe driving record and valid drivers license required. Ability to drive slowly and carefully like your grandma is in the car. And of course, an honest and kind person with no criminal history. Please call Lisa at 540-421-0069 to meet in person.
