Description

Duties:

Develop skills and keep fit making bread from start to finish for a Harrisonburg micro-bakery. Two folks are needed to share the following production tasks: mixing dough on commercial mixers, forming dough using a digital scale, form dough mechanically and/or manually. Training is provided and usually is completed the first month. Little to no customer interaction for all you creative introverts! Be productive and make a high quality, in-demand product. Dependable, consistent folks who enjoy learning will enjoy this job.

Requirements:

  • Lifting 50 lbs to waist height frequently.
  • Basic math.
  • Read and comprehend english and standard weight digital scales.
  • Be aware of time.
  • Follow directions both written and verbal.
  • Prefer over age of 18.
  • Must comply with safety and sanitation standards for food production.

After training is complete, independent working is expected and key holder responsibilities confer.

More hours will be available during the summer.

Additional Information:

The hours listed are able to flex for the right people. We need two part time folks at this time, so the hours listed will be split for two applicants. Be a part of a local artisanal food product and gain skills and strength.
