Description

Duties:

Monitor recreational use of the lake to ensure safety of patrons and staff. Assist patrons with safe access to rental boats. Explain and demonstrate safety equipment and precautions. Learn to operate patrol boats and use all equipment safely and responsibly. Operate a carousel and perform daily safety checks of the amusement. Greet patrons and provide quality customer service. Acquire and apply factual knowledge of the park, facilities, and relevant subject matter to provide accurate information to the public and to staff. Employ proper cash handing/cash security procedures and keep track of all equipment and supplies used in the operations. Assist with daily inspections of facilities, equipment, and supplies. Perform general cleaning and custodial tasks, including restroom cleaning, litter removal, emptying trashcans, cleaning water fountains, wiping down pfd’s, sweeping/mopping, etc. Assist with special events, group use, and other rentals as needed. Assist supervisor and/or other more senior staff in responding to emergencies and other difficult or unusual situations, as trained. Other tasks or duties to support overall park operations may be assigned.

Requirements:

Must be customer-focused, motivated, flexible, energetic, friendly, and task-oriented. Strong team player. Good oral communication skills. Interacts effectively with people of diverse ages, backgrounds and nationalities. Must be age 16 or older. All newly hired employees are required to be fully vaccinated as a condition of employment or obtain approval of a medical or religious exemption prior to their start date. Proof of an exemption or vaccination status will be required during the pre-employment onboarding process. New employees who obtain an exemption from the vaccine mandate for medical or religious reasons will still be subject to the weekly testing requirement. Otherwise, vaccinated employees will complete the attestation online in the first day of employment. The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check to the satisfaction of the employer.
