Duties:
The Summer League Head Swim Coach Ashby Anacondas (in Bridgewater, VA, 10 minutes from Harrisonburg) Team has approximately 120 swimmers, 2nd place in the league in 2021, great families, lots of parent support. Practices held M-F mornings from 8:00-11:15 and MWTh evening from 6-8 *additional hours as lifeguard available, if interested. *additional hours for teaching lessons available from 11-12, if interested. Practice begins around Memorial Day weekend, through Champs (end of July): Salary $3750.

Requirements:
We would love to find someone who has had coaching experience, or at least previous experience with teaching swimming is preferred. Interested in a coach who will focus on teaching swimming technique. Swimmers range in age from 5-18 years of age with a variety of swimming skill. We'd like the coach to provide a positive and encouraging attitude, have team spirit, and work closely with the assistant coaching staff (high school students) to ensure that all kids have a fun season and improve swimming technique. Head coach will run practices (with assistants) and will be at swim meets on Tuesdays (usually from 4-10PM). Head coach will enter swimmers into the meets. Parent volunteers will run the meets. There are 6 meets + Championships beginning June 13 every Tuesday. We will have 3 home meets and a mock meet.
How to apply:
Applications will formally open in February and close March 17. We will conduct Zoom interviews (or in person depending on preference) and select someone by the end of March or early April.

$3750 salary for summer.
