Paula has worked in various departments at JMU for more than 20 years including Residence Life, Student Activities, University Marketing and Branding, Alumni Relations and the Development Office. Paula came to Strategic Gifts in 2016 and currently serves as a Associate Director working with alumni, parents and community members wishing to make an impact at JMU through their philanthropic giving. She loves connecting with people and hearing their JMU story. Locally, she serves on the advisory board for her sorority, Sigma Kappa, and is involved with Catholic Campus Ministry.

Paula is married to Geoff Polglase (’85) and their oldest son graduated with a JMU Marketing degree in May 2020. They have two more sons, so fingers crossed for more JMU alums! She loves to attend performances at the Forbes Center or exhibits at one of our galleries and you can often find her in the stands cheering on our student athletes. Go Dukes!
