InfoEd SPIN

A powerful tool for JMU faculty and staff seeking funding opportunities

Research & Scholarship at James Madison University recently purchased a subscription to SPIN by InfoEd Global.  This subscription provides JMU faculty and staff with access to a comprehensive repository to search current funding opportunities.

Accessing SPIN
Anonymous Access

Anonymous access is available as long as the computer you are accessing SPIN from falls within the IP range supplied by the subscribing organization (JMU). To access in this manner you may visit their homepage of www.infoedglobal.com and then click on the SPIN icon in the top rich corner.

If your computer is within JMU's IP range, you will be transported directly into SPIN and may begin searching. If you are prompted to sign in to gain access, this indicates that you are not within the supplied IP range.

Authenticated Access

Even when arriving from within JMU's IP range, there are benefits to signing in with a username and password such as the ability to*:

  • Save searches
  • Filter configurations
  • Access InfoEd's SMARTS e-mail notification system

*Among other features

Faculty and Staff can create their own accounts or contact the system Administrator to set up an account for them.
