Georgette Sierra is Vice President of Government Affairs at the Financial Services Roundtable. Her role includes overseeing public policy issues related to consumer and small business lending, innovation and trade.  

Georgette has extensive Capitol Hill and financial services industry experience. She joined FSR after serving as Chief of Staff and policy advisor for Representative Carolyn McCarthy (D-NY), a senior member of the House Financial Services Committee. She led the Congresswoman’s legislative agenda and Financial Services Committee work, including passage of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act and legislation to reauthorize the Export-Import Bank.  Prior to Representative McCarthy’s office, she worked in governmental affairs at USAA and Grant Thornton. She began her career in the office of Representative Owen Pickett from Virginia where she managed appropriations, small business, transportation, and armed services related issues. 

Georgette received a B.A. in Political Science from James Madison University in 1999 and was a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority.  She is currently a member of the JMU Duke Club and the JMU Political Science Alumni board.  Georgette lives in Centreville, VA with her husband and young daughter.
