Everyone Can Lead!

In the Everyone Can Lead! program, you will experience four different live, virtual meetings and four unique, online, asynchronous learning modules. Together we will explore the critical concepts and key skills needed for using your own power and influence to:

  • understand yourself better
  • develop positive relationships
  • create more effective teams
  • learn the power of helping others

During the meetings you will meet other participants, interactively engage in fun activities, as well as learn more about yourself and how to develop positive, productive relationships. Through the learning activities you will learn more about yourself as well as effective leadership concepts. All meetings are in the Union, Taylor 206. Here’s the schedule for this 8-week experience:

  • Feb 28, 5:30p – Intro to the Program & Who Are You
  • Mar 7, 5:30p – Developing Positive Relationships
  • Mar 21, 5:30p – The Power of Personality (includes an assessment & report)
  • Mar 28, 5:30p – Knowing Your Strengths & Your Weaknesses (includes assessment & report)
  • Apr 4, 5:30p – Reconnect & Rebuild the Relationships
  • Apr 11, 5:30p – Acting Autonomously but Not Alone
  • Apr 18, 5:30p – Servant Leadership
  • Apr 25, 5:30p – What’s Next

image of student leading other studentsAt the end of the program, student participants will be given the opportunity to sign up for additional leadership development experiences like peer mentoring with an experienced JMU student leader and 1:1 Strengths Coaching with a highly trained student coach from the Student Leadership Center.
