I graduated from JMU in 2010 with a B.A. in Political Science and from Appalachian State University in 2012 with a Master of Arts in College Student Development. Both of these degrees have been integral to my work with students, policy, and processes during my time working in the Office of Student Accountability and Restorative Practices. I began serving in the Office of Student Accountability and Restorative Practices in 2012 as the Coordinator of Substance Education. During my time in OSARP I have also served as an Assistant Director of Civic Learning and Substance Education and as an Assistant Director of Substance Education and Assessment.  I also served as a Residence Director while in graduate school at Appalachian State.

As Associate Director, I recruit and train the members of the Accountability Board and coordinate all cases being heard by an Accountability Board. I also directly and indirectly supervise the staff responsible for the Civic Learning and Substance Education programs, ensuring that these programs are effective in meeting the needs of our students and our community.  I do what I do in order to help students learn from their decisions so they can make better decisions in the future and remain a part of our community. I’m deeply attached to JMU and I’m constantly amazed by the things this university and its students accomplish.
