Best advice you received as a new student: Take everything one step at a time. It's definitely overwhelming at first, but after the first semester, you really start to make genuine friends and feel a part of the JMU community.

Favorite Class at JMU: SCOM 350 - Intro to Organizational Communication. The best part of this class was the experiential learning project where groups of us went to help non-profits with PR or event planning.

Favorite Place on Campus: The Orientation Office because every day I look forward to coming into work and I know that no matter what kind of day I am having, anyone who is in the office never fails to make my day a little brighter!

Why did you want to work for Orientation? I want to be able to deliver the same, welcoming experience I was so fortunate to have. I want to be someone that can be asked any question and can help with whatever is needed.

What do you love most about being a Duke? The spirit! It's the little things like when on tours the crowd chants J-M-U and everyone screams Dukes or strangers offer to punch for you when you suddenly realize you don't have your JAC.
