Earn a master's degree and gain practical work experience at UREC! JMU offers a Campus Recreation Leadership track in the Hart School of Hospitality, Sport and Recreation Management. Assistantships involve a minimum of 20 hours of service per week at UREC during the academic school year.

UREC has completed hiring for the 2017-18 academic year and anticipate the following positions to open for the 2018-19 academic year:

  • Graduate Assistant for Aquatics and Safety
  • Graduate Assistant for Facility Services
  • Graduate Assistant for Fitness & Group Exercise
  • Graduate Assistant for Intramural Sports & Special Events
  • Graduate Assistant for Member Services Graduate Assistant for Sport Clubs and Youth Programs
