The Department of Philosophy and Religion is proud to showcase the accomplishments of our alumni!

Michael Milona


* Michael Milona, a 2007 graduate of our department, has accepted a postdoctoral fellowship at Cornell University for the fall of 2016. Michael is completing his Ph.D. in philosophy at the University of Southern California with a specialization in ethics. He has an article published in Ethical Theory and Moral Practice entitled "Taking the Perceptual Analogy Seriously" and an article forthcoming in Evaluative Perception: Aesthetic, Ethical, and Normative, to be published with Oxford University Press. Congratulations, Michael!

* After earning his M.A. in philosophy at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, philosophy alumnus Mathew Snow was accepted into the University of Pittsburgh's pretigious Ph.D. program (http://www.philosophy.pitt.edu/person/mathew-snow). Congratulations, Mat!

* Alumnus Kurtis Hagans (philosophy) will have an article published in the next issue of Dialogue, the official journal of Phi Sigma Tau, the international honors society for philosophers. Congratulations, Kurtis!

* Alumnus Justin Thurston (philosophy) recently accepted a position as a Writing Specialist at Lord Fairfax Community College. Well done, Justin!
