Gus Bus Summer Fun

News

The Gus Bus held its Annual Summer STEAM Camps for first through fourth graders.  We studied and experimented on rocks, constellations, and rockets. Many thanks to Rob Frazier for taking us into the pit of Fraizer Quarry. What a neat experience! We also went to Putter-A-Round Mini Golf, and Back Home on the Farm to see the butterflies. The third and fourth graders went to Grand Caverns to look at rock formations. We took advantage of what JMU has to offer and also went to the John C. Wells Planetarium, Science on a Sphere, and mineral museum. A big thank you goes to the volunteers from Renew Camp who spent several mornings with us. Your energy and enthusiasm was wonderful. Needless to say, we had a busy, educational, and fun week.
