News
UPDATE:
We appreciate your interest in the 2020 Walk for Hope. Our committee and institutions have been closely monitoring the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, and in an effort to support public safety unfortunately the 2020 Walk for Hope event has been cancelled.
BRCC, BC, EMU, and JMU remain dedicated to Walk for Hope’s mission to encourage the importance of mental health, depression awareness, suicide prevention, and hope. We recognize that you may have an interest in finding ways to work to support suicide prevention, and would encourage you to explore the Counseling Center’s website, including our suicide prevention resource page. Additionally, you may wish to explore the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s website (https://afsp.org/), support resources (https://afsp.org/find-support/), and/or consider joining the upcoming Greater Shenandoah Valley Out of the Darkness Walk on 10/10/20 at Gypsy Hill Park – Staunton, VA.
Thank you for your interest in Walk for Hope and continuing to support the mental and physical health of our community!
