Friends of Valley Charities Presents Donation to RMH Foundation

Friends of Valley Charities Presents Check to RMH FoundationThe Friends of Valley Charities (FOVC) presented an $8,000 check to the RMH Foundation on Wednesday, July 31.  The donation represented the proceeds from the golf tournament, held earlier in the summer. Pictured from left are Pamela Drake (FOVC and JMU professor), Susan Kruck (FOVC and JMU professor), Sherrill Glanzer (RMH Foundation), and Diana Lambert (FOVC).

The Friends of Valley Charities (FOVC) is a local organization of volunteers that raises funds for local charities. The primary fundraiser has been the annual golf tournament and silent auction, spearheaded by CIS Professor Susan Kruck and a band of enthusiastic volunteers (some from the COB). The 2013 golf tournament raised $8,000 with 88 players.  Click here to see pictures.

The next fundraising event is a 5K race to raise funds for a student affected by cancer, either themselves or their immediate family.

If you would like to register for the 5K race, you can do so online at Active.com (look for Harrisonburg, 5K, and the date; credit cards accepted) or complete the attached (please make the check out to “Friends of Valley Charities”) and mail it to the listed address.
