SUMMARY: Two videos by Lisa Tubach, "Flounder" and "Trace" were accepted into "Travel Shorts, A Moving-Image Festival."



Two videos by Art Professor Lisa Tubach, "Flounder" and "Trace" were accepted into "Travel Shorts, A Moving-Image Festival" in conjunction with Virginia Tech and the annual Southeastern College Art Conference (SECAC) conference.  The videos will be shown during the SECAC Conference at the Armory Mezzanine Gallery, Virginia Tech and on the bus ride between Roanoke and Blacksburg, VA to attend the keynote address by Lynn Hershman Leeson, at the Moss Arts Center’s theater in Blacksburg on Oct 21, 2016.

Travel Shorts, A Moving Image Festival includes animation, video art, archival film and creative travel documentaries. The hour-long program takes visitors on a journey via the high seas and overland by car, train, and on foot to places near, far, and beyond. This SECAC member exhibition provides viewers with an overview of how college educators employ creative technologies and examines their engagement with the wider world. Featured Artists include: Jim Benedict and Lily Kuonen, DongSoo Choi, Jonathan Cromer, chanan delivuk, McLean Fahnestock, Adam Forrester, Gerald Habarth, Je Joiner, Ann Kaplan, Hye Young Kim, Bridget Kirkland, Ellen Mueller, Marc Russo, Simon Tarr, and Lisa Marie Tubach.
