Maltese Diplomat Discusses JMU, University of Malta Collaboration

HARRISONBURG—Maltese ambassador to the United States, Mark Miceli-Farrugia, will discuss U.S.-Maltese relations and the collaboration between James Madison University and the University of Malta during a brief visit to JMU on Monday, January 28. 

Miceli-Farrugia will present informally to students, staff and faculty from 11:15 to 11:45 a.m. in Room 1208 of the Health and Human Services Building on the JMU campus east of Interstate 81. 

James Madison University and the University of Malta have signed an agreement to offer a dual post-graduate degree program leading to a master of science in Sustainable Environment Resources Management (SERM). The degree will be awarded by the University of Malta, and concurrently a master of science in Integrated Science and Technology (ISAT) will be awarded by JMU. 

The program will be offered beginning in September 2008 and will be directed by Professor Jonathan Miles (JMU) and Professor Alfred J. Vella (University of Malta).
