Program Coordinator for Promotores de Salud

Dalia Tejada Halter is the Program Coordinator for Promotores de Salud. In this position, she trains, recruits, and supervises Spanish speaking health promotors (Promotores de Salud) and youth peer educators (Promotores Jr.) in the Waynesboro community and surrounding areas. She was previously the Testing and Training Coordinator for CHITTS. In this position, she handled all aspects of language proficiency testing; she was the training coordinator for the 40-hour Bridging the Gap (BTG) Medical Interpreter Training and coordinated the translation service.Dalia holds a Doctorate in Education and Leadership, Specialist in Community College Teaching, and an MBA from Arkansas State University. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering from her home town Bogota, Colombia. She is a results-oriented learning and development professional with exceptional leadership skills and over ten years of experience in the field. She enjoys designing, conducting, and implementing training and educational programs. Dalia has always placed tremendous value on education and continually looks for opportunities to learn. She is a trainer at heart. Dalia is an animal lover. She loves baking, spending time with her friends and family, and helping others less fortunate.
