OWWL: Older Women’s Wellness for Life 2020
Formerly the Alumni Health and Wellness Program
The OWWL Program (Older Women’s Wellness for Life) is a 2-day event designed for women ages 55 and older to invest in themselves. The weekend includes health and fitness assessments, along with a personalized physical activity/exercise program. Participants will also attend lectures and workshops on topics related to nutrition, motivation, and the importance of physical activity for women's health
The 2020 Older Women’s Wellness for Life Program will be held on Saturday, April 18 – Sunday, April 19.

Hampton Inn is providing us a special rate of $96/night under the group name of "Morrison Bruce Center". To guarantee your reservation, please book by March 17th. The group rate will still apply after that date; however, an available room is not guaranteed. You are responsible for booking and paying for your own room.
Note: We will be providing transportation to and from the hotel on Saturday if needed.
OWWL 2019 in Review
The 2019 program was a huge success! Participants participated in clinical and exercise testing, a cooking demonstration, a interval training/dance class, and yoga. Additionally, they heard discussions focused on the impact of loneliness on wellness and diabetes. Before leaving, each participant received a personalized exercise prescription created by JMU exercise science students. These prescriptions along with their testing results were explained and demonstrated thoroughly by the Morrison Bruce Center staff. We look forward to next year’s program – stay tuned for updates!
