Students

Our undergraduate students engage in research alongside faculty members. As part of the curriculum, students complete a capstone project in their final year, offering hands-on experience with real-world applications. Students also have the option to pursue an honors project with a faculty member.

To facilitate involvement in research projects, students participate in a weekly research seminar where ongoing departmental projects are discussed. These sessions serve as a platform for students to explore potential research collaborations with both peers and faculty members.

External speakers are invited monthly to enrich discussions and inspire further engagement in computing topics.

Faculty

Our faculty are actively engaged in their research communities, regularly involving students from various majors in their projects. They frequently publish and present their work at both national and international research conferences. Additionally, many of our faculty members have a track record of securing external grants to support their research.

Engaging in research with our IT faculty offers many benefits:

  • Working with our expert faculty members will expose you to their expertise, guidance, and mentorship.
  • Connects you to a network of experts in your field - opening doors to future opportunities, such as internships, job referrals, and recommendations for further education.
  • Research exposes you to real-world applications of theories and concepts you've learned in your coursework. It deepens your understanding by allowing you to put theory into practice, enhancing your critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Research experience stands out on your resume. It demonstrates your commitment to learning beyond the classroom and showcases your ability to contribute to meaningful projects.
  • Our research projects address real-world issues, giving you the chance to make a positive impact on society, whether through innovative solutions or raising awareness.
