Kyle Weston serves as an Intellectual Property Manager & Web Designer in the Technology Innovation & Economic Development office. He helps manage aspects of the Intellectual Property’s disclosure and reporting process such as receiving disclosures and other patent documents, entering disclosure information into databases and assisting with the process of moving the inventions into the marketplace. Kyle also assists with office management functions, database management, and file maintenance functions as well as designs and maintains multiple websites through WordPress. Some of the websites include Virginia Innovation Alliance (VIA)Shenandoah Valley Angel Investors (SVAI) and Collegiate Strength Innovations (CSI).

Kyle graduated from James Madison University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport and Recreation Management. As an undergraduate student, he played on the JMU varsity baseball team. While pursuing his degree at JMU, he worked internships/practicums in the JMU Athletics Marketing, Facilities Management, and Communications departments. After graduating college, Kyle worked in the sales industry for a while but decided to take a different path. He is a self-taught web developer who currently holds multiple certifications in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery and hopes to pursue a career in the Web Development/Design industry.
