Tara Torkelson is the university's Work Life & Engagement Specialist. Tara earned her Executive Leadership MBA from JMU and holds an undergraduate degree in Business Management & Organizational Development from EMU.  Tara has worked in the HR field since 2004.  She has her PHR and SHRM-CP certifications and has served on the Board for the Shenandoah Valley Society for Human Resource Management. As a member of the Benefits Team, Tara works to introduce programs and options for faculty and staff to encourage engagement and to help improve the quality of their work and personal life.
