Full-time Classified Employees:

  • Increase effective date is June 10, 2019 and will be reflected in the July 1st pay advice.
  • Eligible Classified employees will receive a 2.75% salary increase.
  • Classified employees must have been employed on a full-time basis on or before March 10, 2019 and remain employed full-time through June 10, 2019.
  • Eligible Classified employees will receive an additional 2.25% salary increase, for a total increase of 5%. To be eligible, classified employees must have three or more years of consecutive service on June 10, 2019.
  • Eligible employees must have a contributor rating or higher during the most recent performance review cycle.
  • The Base University Rate will also increase to $24,960, exceeding the current living wage for a single employee for Rockingham County, Virginia. This increase will be applied to those employees whose salary remain below $24,960 after application of the 2.75% and 2.25% base salary increases. 

 

Administrative & Professional Faculty:

  • Increase effective date is June 10, 2019 and will be reflected in the July 1st pay advice.
  • Eligible A&P Faculty will receive a 3% salary increase.
  • To be eligible, A&P Faculty must have been employed on or before March 10, 2019, and remain employed as of June 10, 2019 with no break in service.
  • A&P Faculty must also hold a satisfactory performance rating.

 

Instructional Faculty:

  • Increase effective date is June 10, 2019 and will be reflected in the July 1st pay advice.
  • Eligible Instructional Faculty will receive a 3% salary increase.
  • To be eligible, all Instructional Faculty must have been employed on or before March 10, 2019, and remain employed as of June 10, 2019 with no break in service.
  • Eligible Instructional Faculty must also hold a satisfactory performance rating.
  • An additional pool of funds to address Instructional Faculty compression and inversion will also be available. This pool of funds will be distributed based on criteria established by Academic Affairs, for which more information will be forthcoming.

 

Wage Employees

  • Increase effective date is June 16, 2019 and will be reflected in the July 16th pay advice.
  • Eligible wage employees will receive a 2% pay increase.
  • To be eligible, wage employees must be employed on or before March 16, 2019, and remain employed on June 16, 2019 with no break in service.

 

Adjunct Faculty:

  • Adjunct Faculty will receive a 2% pay increase as contracts are renewed, so effective dates will vary. 

 

Student Employees and Graduate Assistants:

  • Graduate Assistants will receive a 2% pay increase as contracts are renewed, so effective dates will vary.
  • Student Employees will receive a 2% pay increase as employment is renewed, so effective dates will vary.
