  • Abenity - Abenity is a perks program which provides over 200,000 local and national discounts to program members, amounting to well over $4,500 in personal consumer savings.
  • CommonHealth at JMU - CommonHealth at JMU is the employee wellness program for the Commonwealth of Virginia. Programs cover a variety of health and wellness subjects and are presented in a variety of formats - including onsite programs and video presentations - that make it easy to participate. Not only are the programs educational and fun, they help you stay fit and healthy.
  • Employee Tuition Assistance - Interested in taking classes at JMU? We believe in higher education and the continued development of our faculty and staff members. JMU employees may therefore be eligible to enroll in credit courses on a part-time basis and have tuition waived. 
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) - All health plans offered to state employees and their dependents have Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs). Included are up to four sessions at no charge for such services as mental health, alcohol or drug abuse assessment, child or elder care, grief counseling and legal or financial services.
  • Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) - Employee Resource Groups, commonly know as ERGs, are organizationally supported employee groups that engage different generations, backgrounds, ethnicities and perspectives across all disciplines.
  • Financial Counseling - Let these companies help you make financial decisions that are right for you. Schedule an one-on-one appointment today with a consultant to discuss your personal financial situation on a confidential basis. They will be available to discuss how to help meet your financial goals with products, such as mutual funds and annuities, or other financial matters you have.
  • LGBTQ Faculty and Staff Group - An employee group dedicated to serving the common interests of equality for LGBTQ people at JMU, especially those without the ability to participate openly and safely in shaping the university culture, values, and practice in this area.
  • Univeristy Recreation (UREC) - JMU has excellent recreational facilities that are available for use by university employees and their family members. UREC aims to promote and advance healthy lifestyles through educational programs, participation opportunities and support services.
