Scholarship Overview

The William C. Lusk, Jr. and Betty J. Lusk scholarship was created to benefit entering freshmen accepted into the Honors College.

The appointment of the Lusk Scholar shall be made each year according to the following criteria:

  • Student must have strong academic credentials
  • Student must demonstrate financial need as determined by the University's Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships.
  • Preference is given to students who apply through Early Action processes.
  • Scholarship is renewable as long as the student remains in good standing within the Honors College and continues to meet the scholarship's need requirement.

Recipient will be determined by the Dean of the Honors College will follow the University's guidelines for awarding of scholarships. This scholarship is eligible for renewal if students meet scholarship criteria.

This scholarship specifies a “need component”. To be eligible you MUST HAVE A CURRENT FAFSA on-file with the James Madison University Office of Financial Aid.
