Dr. Meredith Malburne-Wade is Director of Fellowships Advising at James Madison University.  She received her Bachelor of Arts in English and French in 1999 from Wellesley College.  She received her Master of Arts in English in 2003 from Georgetown University, and she completed her PhD in Twentieth-Century American Literature in 2013 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her research focuses on modern and contemporary American literature and drama, and her first book, Revision as Resistance in Twentieth-Century American Drama, was published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2015. 

Prior to coming to JMU, Dr. Malburne-Wade has worked in fellowships advising and as an English/Writing professor at multiple institutions of higher education, including Georgetown University, Gettysburg College, and most recently, High Point University.  She is passionate about student success and development. In her spare time, she is avid reader, photographer, and traveler.  She lives in Harrisonburg with her husband (Jeremy), her dog (Charlie) and her cat (Monk).
