Anastacia Martin is the Executive Assistant to the Dean of the Honors College. In her role, she provides administrative support to senior leadership while strictly supporting Dean Blackstone, as well as creative collaborations to other departments across the JMU campus. Anastacia is a proud graduate from the Hart School here at James Madison University, with a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management & Tourism. Prior to her transition to JMU, she received her Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts & Management from Central Virginia Community College. She’s previously supported the Center for Global Engagement as an Administrative Assistant in 2021, as well as JMU Special Events for four years. Her seven plus years of service in events/weddings and Food & Beverage have helped her shape her into a reliable, tenacious, resourceful individual who values hard work, organization, and a sense of humor.

Anastacia’s vivacious personality helps her connect well with anyone she meets. When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, crafting and baking, and visiting new coffee shops and restaurants (total foodie!)
