Why did you choose JMU?

JMU feels like home to me. Through my four years of high school at Harrisonburg, I made lots of Connections with JMU. It helped me learn about the American culture, make friends, and how to fit in. It provided me a place to belong when I first came here feeling lost.

What do you like best about JMU?

I love JMU football, tailgating before games and hanging out with families and friends were my best memories. I also really enjoy the atmosphere of JMU, I like how everyone is always friendly and the international student office is always looking out for me.

What surprised you the most during your first semester?

I was very excited about being on campus, doing stuff, making friends, and helping new international students. Never thought I would spend my entire freshman year just sitting in my bedroom, meeting people through my screen.

What is your favorite class?

My favorite class is defiantly my engineering classes. Where I get to learn how to design parts in different software and how to make a good deliverable project based on my goal.

What do you like to do during your free time?

I have been a photographer for four years and about a year of videography experience. During my free time, I often go take photos with my camera or/and flying my drone around to make videos of the area.
