In this exciting new JMU program, students will be placed in a practicum in their chosen health related fields. These are just some of the options available to students.

The practicums take place in Bangkok, Thailand, known for its vibrant street life and cultural landmarks. Bangkok is a cosmopolitan city home to a multitude of cafes, restaurants, and cultural activities. JMU partner, The Education Abroad Network (TEAN), provides customized practicum placements for JMU students.

Upon arrival students participate in a short orientation that includes an introduction to Thai culture and work environment, an overview of the city and surrounding areas, and preparation for the practicum. After orientation, students will be placed in a full time practicum for a total of 8 weeks (160+ hours). Cultural activities will also be provided during the 8 weeks to bring practicum students together.
