Wed, 27 Sep 2017 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Festival Ballroom A

James Madison University's Center for International Stabilization and Recovery (CISR) will host a panel event regarding peace-building efforts in Colombia, a country that has suffered 60 years of civil war. Panelists will represent CISR, the Universidad Technologia de Bolivar (UTB) in Cartagena, Colombia, and other entities engaged in the pathway to ending conflict and promoting reconciliation in Colombia. Speakers will engage in a guided discussion regarding their work with conflict-affected populations and talk about what the 2016 peace agreement means for communities impacted by the violence. There will be time allotted for audience questions and a reception with refreshments to follow.
